Coffee Couture

A couple of years ago when I was still working for a local coffee roaster my urge to make beaded jewelry for fun and occasional profit was growing.
While scooping and weighing the beans I began to dream of making the beautiful brown beans into beautiful brown beads.
I experimented with various methods of hardening and sealing and drilling the coffee beans.
After awhile I figured it out and have since then been have created several necklace designs and many earrings.

This was fun to make

I saw a necklace like this a few months ago and longed to make one for myself.
I am crazy about beads and actually work at a bead shop once a month just to be near them.
While reading some posts on one of my favorite bead and jewelry forums, I found a link to a video tutorial that totally demystified the technique of crocheting beads onto wire.

It took me less than an hour to do it.
How cool is this necklace?!!
